In London, we need lay and ordained pioneers to come up with new and innovative ways of sharing the good news of Jesus, discipling people in the faith, and serving the needs of local communities.
Our team supports these pioneers, as well as providing training, resources and oversight to a growing network of pioneer communities in the London Diocese.
Pioneer School is an exciting new project we are running for pioneers in the Diocese of London in collaboration with CMS. This is the first time the Diocese of London has offered training for lay pioneers. The school is aimed at lay people in London who are currently involved in pioneer ministry or feel called to pioneer in the London Diocese. It will offer pioneers the chance to understand their calling, and gain the skills, knowledge and understanding to launch and lead pioneer expressions of church (such as missional communities), or community projects (including entrepreneurships) in the Diocese.
Pioneer School Modules
A fresh expression of church is a new gathering or network that engages mainly with people who have never been to church. There is no single model, but the emphasis is on starting something which is appropriate to its context, rather than cloning something that works elsewhere.
